- Diptych Title: “The Mosaic Landscape Through Time”
- Technique: Mixed media diptych on canvas (layered acrylic painting with photographic collage using Canon glossy photo paper).
- Medium: Acrylics and tactile photographic elements. The contrast between matte paint and glossy fragments creates depth and highlights the world’s fragmentation.
- Dimensions: 120 × 100 cm (each canvas).
Concept Summary
This diptych reflects how human intervention shapes — and fractures — Earth’s mosaic landscape. The first canvas portrays the original, vibrant ecosystem, where fire appears as the first human tool, integrated harmoniously into nature. The second canvas reveals the consequences of industrial expansion: deforestation, pollution, and the near disappearance of the original mosaic.
A solitary mosaic‑tree stands as both a remnant and a symbol of resilience. The work suggests that restoring biodiversity, like assembling a mosaic, requires rebuilding piece by piece. It calls attention to our responsibility: if humanity has dismantled the natural world, it must now use the remaining fragments to restore balance and hope.
Each canvas may be purchased individually or as a set. A significant discount applies to the purchase of the complete set.
