About
I was born in Luanda, Angola in 1958 and have lived and worked in different countries worldwide – Angola, Mozambique, Brazil, Timor, Portugal, and the Azores. Since 2011 I’ve been living in Germany.
Living close to different cultures has shaped my character and the effects are reflected in my work and creativity which varies in style and themes. I worked professionally in several areas, including hotel administration, architecture and engineering design, library and archive, telecommunications administration, real estate, gastronomy, etc.
Since I came to Germany I have dedicated myself more to visual arts – photographing and painting have become a lifestyle. I already have some solo and group exhibitions, regional and international in my CV.
Generally, the motto of my works is “The seemingly inconspicuous”, the recognition and appreciation of small details that are often overlooked, even considered unsightly but when placed in the center of attention, they usually gain a special aesthetic and beauty to which I devote my artistic creations.
